Legacy Collective and Philanthropitch Announce Austin’s Legacy, Bringing Together Austin’s Nonprofit and Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership
The Initiative Will Facilitate Knowledge Sharing, Community Building and Networking
AUSTIN, TEXAS (June 1, 2021) – Legacy Collective, a giving community dedicated to funding nonprofits addressing systemic issues with sustainable, innovative solutions, today announces the launch of Austin’s Legacy, a joint initiative with Philanthropitch that brings together Nonprofit leaders and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) leaders in Austin. Members of these communities are invited to join the free group for monthly Lunch ‘n Learns, networking, knowledge sharing and community building.
“At Legacy Collective, we work first-hand with the Austin nonprofit and CSR communities, and we realized an opportunity to bring these groups together so they could learn from each other and network,” says Erin Arnheim, Legacy Collective CEO. “We’re excited to launch this new program with Philanthropitch, a long-time partner of Legacy Collective.”
Austin’s Legacy will host monthly Lunch ‘n Learns, initially over Zoom but eventually moving to in-person. Each luncheon will feature one speaker from the nonprofit community and one from the CSR community. Members will have the opportunity to present at a luncheon, sharing their organization with the group. Members can also join a Facebook group and LinkedIn group where resources will be shared.
“Austin’s nonprofit community is vast, addressing a host of important cause areas. CSR leaders are doing the good work of finding ways that their company can get involved and help. It just makes sense to bring these two communities together and we’re proud to be a part of this initiative,” says Georgia Thomsen, Philanthropitch CEO.
The kick-off Lunch ‘n Learn event is tomorrow, June 2, at noon CST.
