BOARD OF ADVISORS
Cory Macdonald was born and raised in Austin, Texas, attended the University of Texas as an undergrad, and obtained a dual-degree from the UT School of Law and the LBJ School of Public Affairs. Thereby bleeding orange, Cory is an avid supporter of Longhorn Basketball. After practicing law for over a decade, Cory founded Macdonald Resnevic, PLLC, a firm specializing in healthcare/senior housing and representing nonprofit tax-exempt organizations. Cory assists clients in the creation and restructuring of nonprofit corporations, including foundations that support the charitable endeavors of related entities. As outside general counsel, Cory advises executives and board members on an array of operational and governance matters. In the senior living space, areas of focus include continuing care/life plan communities, licensing, certification, and the sale and purchase of facilities. In addition, Macdonald Resnevic serves as borrower’s and special Texas counsel in tax-exempt bond and other financing arrangements.
Cory is proudly married to another native Austinite, Betsy Macdonald, and they have three children, Kelly, Christopher and Davis. In addition to his role with Legacy Collective, Cory serves on the boards of Family Eldercare of Austin and the Episcopal Seniors Foundation.
