Kicking off Black Mental Health Grant Campaign!
for January 11, 2021
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Towards the end of 2020, we announced a movement we call the 100 Campaign. We asked for 100 new donors to join us in helping 100 families across the country in 2021 by giving $100 a month so that we could fund 5 extra grants this year to help families needing help overcoming financial and emotional hardships from the effects of Covid19.
This year, we will be funding these 5 additional grants through the 100 campaign with smaller fundraisers in addition to monthly donations. Today, we kick off raising additional funds for the first grant with the hope of giving $25,000 split between two organizations providing mental health services to men, women, and children in the Black community. We will be splitting all funds raised between Breakthrough in the East Garfield Park neighborhood in Chicago and Eustress Inc. out of Charlotte, NC.
The Legacy Collective donor community is coming together to fund mental health services for men, women and youth to help ease the burden of the cost, as well as raise awareness of the great need. In the coming weeks you will hear personal mental health journeys from Candace Collins, our “Elevating their Impact” podcast Co-host, and from Otis Grigsby, a formal NFL player and current lawyer who now serves on our Advisory Board.
