Legacy Collective Donor Privacy Policy – Last Revised January 1, 2022

Legacy Collective (“Legacy”) is firmly committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains what types of donor information is collected and managed by Legacy and how this information is used. Legacy may amend this Policy from time to time.

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected

Persons or entities who donate individually to Legacy and/or who join Legacy as Giving Circle donors (collectively, the “Donors”) voluntarily provide Legacy with certain personally identifiable information, including, but not limited to, names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and dates of birth (“Donor Information”). Donor Information is stored in a secure database that is owned and managed by Legacy (“Donor Database”).

Legacy’s website,, is managed by Pure Charity, Inc. (“Pure Charity”). Donor Information submitted through Legacy’s website will first be stored in Pure Charity’s portal before being sent to Legacy’s Donor Database. Pure Charity will retain a copy of Donor Information that is submitted through Legacy’s website.

How This Information May Be Used

Legacy uses Donor Information to provide Donors with personalized service, to tailor and send e-mail correspondence, to answer questions or requests, and for other internal purposes. Legacy will not sell or rent Donor Information to third parties. Except for situations involving Corporate Giving Circles or City Giving Circles, Legacy will never share the donation amounts and/or donation history of Donors unless expressly authorized to do so.

Corporate Giving Circles

When participating in Corporate Giving Circles, certain employers will agree to match the donations their employees make to Legacy. To facilitate corporate donation matching, Legacy will provide employee names and donation amounts to participating employers.

City Giving Circles

When participating in City Giving Circles, certain entities will agree to donate funds collected from conferences hosted by those entities to Legacy. Legacy will publicize and share the names and donation amounts of the entities that participate in City Giving Circles.

In-Person Events

Attendance at an in-person Legacy Collective event should be considered a waiver of any expectation of anonymity as pertaining to other attendees at the event. Legacy may share the names and contact information of in-person event attendees unless specifically requested not to do so.
