Thanks to our generous Legacy Giving Circle donor community, Work for Life is receiving a $14,775.19 grant towards eliminating poverty in vulnerable communities.

Initiative Description: The Work for Life Poverty Elimination Program is an effort to eliminate poverty in vulnerable communities across East Africa. It focuses on deploying a 20-week training curriculum that has been developed through over a decade of experience working in vulnerable communities. This curriculum and training time are led by local leaders in the community who have experience running businesses themselves and want to support their neighbors by offering this training.

Initiative Impact: Through a grant from Legacy Collective, Work for Life would be able to train 2,000 students. Our data shows that each entrepreneur hires an average of 2 employees, and those 2 employees and the entrepreneur support an average of 5 family members. That is 18 lives impacted by one student. Therefore, Legacy Collective’s grant would impact 36,000 people.
