How do I claim my Pure Charity account (so I can access my Legacy Collective Giving Account)?

If you are new to use Pure Charity, once you have signed up for Legacy Collective, a message is sent to your email asking you to claim your Pure Charity account. This email will prompt you to create a password and then will automatically log you into your Pure Charity account.

From this point on, you can use your email and password to log in and out of Pure Charity to access your Legacy Collective Giving Account.

I am trying to create my account and it keeps telling me my email is taken. Help!

The reason you’re receiving the message “email is already taken” is because your email address is already being used.  Select ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen to trigger a password reset email.

How log in to my Legacy Collective Giving Account?

So you have signed up for Legacy Collective, but you’re not 100% sure how to find it?  No worries! Follow the directions below to see how you can find your giving account.

How do I update my Credit Card?

Donating is made simple when you have a credit/debit card saved to your personal account. We work with a third-party site to make sure our site is SUPER secure. Go ahead and add or edit a card to make giving easy!

Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
 

Step 2: From your user dashboard, click ‘Payment Sources’ in the left-hand menu.  From here you can edit the expiration date on an existing card or register a new card.

Step 3a: Edit the expiration date on an existing card.  To edit an existing card simply select ‘Edit’ next to the card you want to edit, then update the expiration date and reenter the security code. 

Be sure to select  for the new information to be saved.  

Step 3b:  Register a new card.  To register a new card simply select ‘Register a new card’, then enter the new card information.  Don’t forget to check  to ensure this is the card that will be charged going forward. 

Also, be sure to select  for the new information to be saved.  

 

>>>Your card is updated, but now it’s time to resume your donation(s).  

Step 4: Resume your donation(s) if they have failed

          a.  Select ‘Donations’ in the left-hand menu

          b.  Select ‘Recurring Credit Card Donations’ in the horizontal menu

          c.  Select ‘Resume’ next to the contribution you want to edit

Your Legacy Collective contribution should now be updated!

How do I change by monthly donation amount?
Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login

Step 2:  From your user dashboard:          

a.  Select ‘Donations’ in the left-hand menu bar

b.  Select ‘Giving Circle Contributions’ in the horizontal menu bar

c.  Select ‘Edit’ next to the contribution you want to edit

Step 3:  Once you’re in the specific Giving Circle, then you can edit the monthly donation amount or the next donation date.  Be sure to select ‘Update Recurring Donation’ after you’re done!

How can I change my information, like my email or address?
Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login

Step 2: From your user dashboard, click ‘Edit Profile’ in the left-hand menu. From here you can edit your personal information.

Step 3: From here you can edit and update your Name, Email, Address, and other personal details. Be sure to click Screen_Shot_2018-09-12_at_1.33.00_PM.pngat the bottom of the page when you are done to make sure your changes save.

When is my monthly contribution charged?

Your recurring donation will be charged on the day you set up the recurring donation.

If you would like to change your scheduled recurring date, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
 

Step 2:  From your user dashboard:

          a.  Select ‘Donations’ in the left-hand menu bar

          b.  Select ‘Giving Circle Contributions’ in the horizontal menu bar

          c.  Select ‘Edit’ next to the contribution you want to edit

Step 3:  Once you’re in the specific Giving Circle, then you can edit the monthly donation amount or the next donation date.  Be sure to select ‘Update Recurring Donation’ after you’re done!

How do I stop my recurring donation?
Canceling your Giving Circle donation is easy! Just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
 

Step 2:  From your user dashboard:

          a.  Select ‘Donations’ in the left-hand menu bar

          b.  Select ‘Giving Circle Contributions’ in the horizontal menu bar

          c.  Select ‘Cancel’ next to the contribution you want to cancel

Step 3: Confirm that you want to cancel your membership by selecting OK.

You have now left the giving circle and your recurring donations have been canceled effective immediately.
How can I get a Receipt for my Donations?

After your donation has been processed (for both recurring donations and one-time donations) a receipt will be emailed to the email address you signed up or logged in with.

If you do not receive the receipt, please check your junk/trash folder. If you still do not see it come through, email help@purecharity.com for assistance.

How do I give a one-time donation if I am a member of a Giving Circle?

So you want to give a little bit more this month? That’s awesome! You have the chance to give a one-time donation as many times as you want to a Giving Circle you have joined. Follow the steps below to begin!

Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
 

Step 2:  From your user dashboard select Giving Circles in your left-hand menu bar or select ‘View All’ under Giving Circles.  

Step 3: Select the name of your specific Giving Circle to be directed to your Giving Circle dashboard.  

Step 4: From your Giving Circle dashboard, select ‘Donate’.  

Step 5:  Enter the amount you would like to donate and how you would like to pay.

Can I mail a check for a donation to Legacy Collective?

If you are interested in mailing a check donation to Legacy Collective this can be done for one-time donations. Please mail all checks to:

Be sure to write this Fundraiser’s Donation ID in the memo line: FUN274432.

How can I change from one Giving Circle to another?

Want to switch to a different group? No problem! To switch groups, first, you will need to cancel your registration for your current group.

Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
 

Step 2:  From your user dashboard:

          a.  Select ‘Donations’ in the left-hand menu bar

          b.  Select ‘Giving Circle Contributions’ in the horizontal menu bar

          c.  Select ‘Cancel’ next to the contribution you want to cancel

Step 3: Confirm that you want to cancel your membership by selecting OK.

You have now left the giving circle and your recurring donations have been canceled effective immediately.

Next, you can sign up for your new group! The links and minimum donations amount to our legacy groups are:

Members ($10+): Join Legacy Collective Members

Partners ($100+): Join Legacy Collective Partners

Investors ($250+): Join Legacy Collective Investors

Just a reminder: when you register, your card will automatically draft. If you want to stay consistent on your monthly giving pattern, please reregister around the date that your current amount drafts.

How can I stop receiving emails from Pure Charity?
Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login

Step 2: From your user dashboard, click ‘Notifications‘ in the left-hand menu. From here you can choose what communication you desire to receive.

Deselect any notification you would not like to receive (or select any you would), then click Screen_Shot_2018-09-12_at_1.33.00_PM.png. That’s it. Changes are immediate and you should no longer receive undesired communication.

How do I add an Avatar image?
Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login
Step 2: From your user dashboard, click ‘Avatar’ in the left-hand menu. From here you can add or change your avatar image.

To Add an Avatar Image: Click the Upload box and select the picture from your computer you would like to use. Please remember that the maximum file size is 5MB and the file must be in the JPEG, PNG, GIF, or BMP format. Once the upload is complete, the image is saved and stored. That’s it. To Change or Remove Your Avatar Image: Click the X on the current image. (See image below.) Then, follow the steps above if a new image is desired. Otherwise, the image is deleted and no further action needed.

How do I tell what projects have been funded?

So you want to see what projects your funding has impacted? We want you to see it too! To view funded projects, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Login to your Legacy Collective account: Click Here to Login

Step 2:  From your user dashboard select Giving Circles in your left-hand menu bar or select ‘View All’ under Giving Circles.  

Step 3: Select the name of your specific Giving Circle to be directed to your Giving Circle dashboard.  

Step 4: Click Supported Causes.

How are the donations managed?

Legacy Collective has established a Donor Advised Fund with Pure Charity (a nonprofit organization) that will assist in the financial accountability, grant administration, and financial reporting.  All Legacy Collective members will have visibility to the disbursement of grants and special project funds via their Member Dashboard, and Legacy Collective will produce an Annual Report reporting financial activity.
