Legacy Collective Donor Privacy Policy
Legacy Collective (“Legacy”) is firmly committed to protecting the privacy of our donors. This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains what types of donor information is collected and managed by Legacy and how this information is used. Legacy may amend this Policy from time to time.
What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected
Persons or entities who donate individually to Legacy and/or who join Legacy as Giving Circle donors (collectively, the “Donors”) voluntarily provide Legacy with certain personally identifiable information, including, but not limited to, names, email addresses, mailing addresses, and dates of birth (“Donor Information”). Donor Information is stored in a secure database that is owned and managed by Legacy (“Donor Database”).
Donor Information submitted through Donation Pages on Legacy’s website will first be stored in Pure Charity’s portal before being sent to Legacy’s Donor Database. Pure Charity will retain a copy of Donor Information that is submitted through Legacy’s website.
How This Information May Be Used
Legacy uses Donor Information to provide Donors with personalized service, to tailor and send e-mail correspondence, to answer questions or requests, and for other internal purposes. Legacy will not sell or rent Donor Information to third parties. Except for situations involving Corporate Giving Circles or City Giving Circles, Legacy will never share donor information, donation amounts and/or donation history of Donors unless expressly authorized to do so or unless disclosed on the Giving Circle page or fundraiser page clearly stating which party will be granted specific donor and donation information.
City Giving Circles
When participating in City Giving Circles, certain entities will agree to donate funds collected from conferences hosted by those entities to Legacy. Legacy will publicize and share the names and donation amounts of the entities that participate in City Giving Circles.
In-Person Events
Attendance at an in-person Legacy Collective event should be considered a waiver of any expectation of anonymity as pertaining to other attendees at the event. Legacy may share the names and contact information of in-person event attendees unless specifically requested not to do so.
