This month, we are learning more about the organization TransFamily Support Services and how it works to support the LGBTQ+ community. This organization is one of the four nonprofits that will receive a grant from the Mama Bears Giving Circle in the second grant round!
About TransFamily Support Services
TransFamily Support Services guides transgender and non-binary youth and their families through the gender transitioning process to help make it the most positive experience possible. The organization provides family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, help navigating the legal system, and support at schools. All services are provided at no fee to the families.
TransFamily Support Services also offers insurance assistance, education, professional resources, and mentorships to help families navigate through the journey more easily. They work to create a world where ALL genders are accepted
& treated EQUALLY.
